Wildlife and the Olympics are what the Lake Placid region is most known for but during the summer many communities like to offer free music during the week. These musical acts come from all over the country to provide entertainment for tourists and locals with the perfect Adirondack backdrop.

June 27th – Celtic Night With The McKrells

The McKrells are described as Celtic- infused bluegrass music. Kevin McKrell pioneered American Celtic music starting in 1979 with the band Donnybrook Fair. In 1998, McKrell build an all star band where he took the Irish sound of Donnybrook and merged it with the bluegrass edge. The McKrells most known songs are: ‘Donegal’, ‘ You and Me’ , ‘I Miss the Rain’ and ‘All of The Hard Days Are Gone’.

July 11th – Folk Rock Night With The Adam Ezra Group

The Adam Ezra Group is a folk group from Boston, MA. This four piece group fuses folk intimacy and rock energy with soul power and pop charm.

July 18th – Jam Night With Mark Joseph and The American Soul

Mark Joseph and The American Soul from Minneapolis, Minnesota blends soul & blues with a traditional Americana roots and rock vibe.

July 25th – Shannon McNally

Shannon McNally is a Grammy nominee who’s music career began on the jam band circuit in the 1990’s. Her music was described as “Cosmic American Music” by Thom Jurek from All Music.

August 1st – Local Indie Rock Night With Jackie Lee Mclean

Jackie Lee Mclean delivers ethereal indie-rock songs with a singer/songwriter heart.

August 8th – Southern Soul Night With Magnolia Boulevard

Magnolia Boulevard from Lexington, Kentucky is a 5 piece band that has won the award for “Best Rock Band” at the Lexington Music Awards in 2018 and 2019 along with taking home first prize in the “On The Rise” band competition at Floydfest.

July 5th – Los Blancos

Los Blancos is a roots and blues band from Syracuse, NY that plays a vast array of musical styles. They have won a host of honors from the Syracuse Area Music Awards, Blues Connection and Syracuse New Times what include best band, best blues band and best R&B band. They have even shared the stage with Little Feat, Los Lobos and Derek Trucks band!

July 12th – Fenimore Blues

Fenimore Blues is a 7-piece band based out of Saratoga Springs that plays a mixture of blues, R&B and Rock.

July 19th – Freight

Freight is a Groove-centric and playfully syncopated band whose primary sound is a danceable variety of folk-rock, replete with electric organ fuzz, telecaster twang, and no-nonsense steel-string chug based out of Ithaca, NY.

July 26th – Mo’ Mojo

Mo’ Mojo is a hard driving, high energy, Zydeco-based “Party-Gras” band based out of Akron, Ohio.

August 2nd – High & Mighty Brass Band

High & Mighty Brass Band is an internationally touring band that  brings the energy of a live rock band with the professionalism of wedding band!

August 9th – Mal Maiz

Based out of Burlington, VT, Mal Maiz blends traditional cumbia, latin, reggae and afro Caribbean sounds. Currently they are a hot East Coast Dance Band with traditional and modern flair!

Michael Shofi is a New York City based singer/ songwriter who draws influence from artists like Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, Father John Misty and Phoebe Bridgers.

Brock Gonyea , a Tupper Lake native who channels the spirit of classic country music. With the influences of Elvis, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams he released his first EP Where My Heart Is in 2021.

Tuesday, July 4th – Folkfaces – 7- 9 PM

Folkfaces is a Rowdy Jazz and Bluesy Roots quartet out of Buffalo, NY. They play a mix of original and traditional music with influences from weird old American music. Folkfaces is an energetic variety show that explores a wide range of genres including country blues, traditional jazz, rock and roll, western swing, bluegrass and even jug band music.

Friday, July 7th – The Joshua J Supershow – Little Loggers Kids Show – 11 am

The Joshua J Supershow provides side splitting comedy, nail biting circus stunts and plenty of audience participation. This combination dazzle his audiences.

Monday, July 10th – The Big Takeover

The Big Takeover is a seven-piece reggae-roots hailing from the Hudson Valley that plays original music. With complex arrangements, big hooks and a rich sound they will have the crowd bouncing!

Wednesday, July 12th – New Horizons Swing Band

New Horizons Swing Band, with two dozen musicians this group is connected to “New Horizons” what is an international non-profit that encourages retirees to pick up musical instruments. Their goal is to have fun, make great music and to do it for each other.

Friday, July 14th – Mega Bubble Man – Little Loggers Kids Show – 11 am

Jim Livi is the Mega Bubble Man who has expertise in bubble entertainment for children, teenagers as well as adults. He is the World Record Holder for the World’s Tallest Outdoor Bubble!

Monday, July 17th – The Altered Tones

The Altered Tones are based out of Long Lake and Tupper Lake who cover songs from the 90s and more!

Wednesday, July 19th – Moment’s Notice

Moment’s Notice is a Pop Cover Band and Jazz Combo with 100 years of combined service in the US Air Force Band.

Friday, July 21st – Dinoman – Little Loggers Kids Show – 11 am

Bob and Dayna Lisaius have been producing shows for over 30 years with experience in film, TV, Radio and Theater. This experience has provided the perfect opportunity to have them focus on their Dinoman Science Series. With magic, merry mayhem and magnificent props the audience is taken on a trip throughout the Mesozoic era.

The Midnight Stargazers is a cosmic country music band originally from Wyoming. Rocky James is a songwriter, singer and guitarist who settled in the Adirondacks and founded this 4 piece acoustic band. This band is a blend of classic country, country folk and country rock.

Annie & The Hedonists is an acoustic blues, vintage jazz and roots Americana band that interprets the songs of the great female blues artists of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.

Junction Jam is a Tupper Lake based band that plays Rock N’ Roll music from the 60’s to the 90’s!

Organ Fairchild is a groove and funk organ trio from Buffalo NY. This group originally met in 1983 as members of a Buffalo, NY Grateful Dead cover band called “Wild Knights” but in early 2020 they decided to write their first original music together. Individually these veteran musicians have played with Bob Wier, Robbie Krieger of The Doors, Nels Cline, moe. and many other big name musicians! In 2021 they were voted NY’s Top Emerging Band, Mirth Films of Albany NY describes their music best by saying “Had even the shyest of shy folks bouncing around”.

Larry Ham is a pianist, composer, arranger and a veteran New York sideman. The Larry Ham Quartet  features their own Jazz compositions as well as a couple of standards!

June 8th – Mallet Brothers Band

An independent rock and roll /americana/ country band, The Mallet Brothers Band, graces Saranac Lake from Maine with their musical melting pot sound from alt-country to jam and roots rock. They have performed at some of the country’s top venues and festivals. Also, they have provided direct support to The Outlaws, Robert Earl Keen & Lukas Nelson & The Promise Of The Real.

June 15th – Yam Yam

Yam Yam is modern and vintage funk and jam group out of Harrisburg Pennsylvania who are dedicated to exploring and creating beautiful music.

June 22nd – Soggy Po Boys

The Soggy Po Boys based out of Portsmouth, New Hampshire love to spread the good news of New Orleans music across the northeast! This New Orleans style brass and jazz band have honed their sound by exploring the musical traditions of New Orleans and expanded beyond NOLA jazz into traditional Caribbean Tunes as well as Meters funk, soul, and brass band.

June 29th – Organ Fairchild

July 6th – Chestnut Grove

Chestnut Grove is a shake, rattle and rock ‘n’ roll band that was formed in 2011 in Perkiomenvilla, PA. After four years of playing local bars and festivals they self-produced their first full-length album “Perkiomenville” in front of a sold out crowd at World Café Live in Philadelphia. Their next EP “Let It Dow” was produced by the critically acclaimed producer Bill Moriatry who has worked with notable artists like Modest Mouse and Philly’s own Dr. Dog.

July 8th – Saturday – The Ditrani Brother

The Ditrani Brothers  play original and traditional tunes drawing influence from eastern-european folk music, Roma swing and early European and American jazz.

July 13th – Joslyn & The Sweet Compression

Joslyn & The Sweet Compression is a soul and funk band out of Lexington, KY. Joslyn Hampton (Lead singer) cultivated her dynamic voice performance skills while performing in backup roles as well as stage plays. She decided to team up with her stepfather, Marty Charters who was a touring guitarist and songwriter who has shared the stage with legends such as Buddy Guy and Van Morrison to compose a captivating set of tunes while assembling a great band. This band delivers hook-filled funk and soul mix to audiences. They have headlined at regional clubs and festivals while poising themselves to engage fans across the country.

July 15th – Saturday – High Summer

Based out of Vermont, High Summer’s sound is a visceral groove! They play original compositions as well as a group of well-curated covers that highlight the group’s dynamic musical exploration.

Holy Hand Grenade is a Afrobeat, funk and Nu Jazz band out of Brooklyn NY. Like its name, Holy Hand Grenade is a spontaneous, fun and mischievous convergence of music. This seven member group has influences ranging from Mulatu Astake and Fela Kuti to Eddie Harris and El Michels Affair.

August 10th – Guerilla Toss & Roost.World

Guerilla Toss is an art rock band with funk and dance influences based out of New York City. They are known as one of the most ferociously creative art- rock groups working. Guerilla Toss at their most luminescent are awake, alive and extend an open invitation to anyone who wants to soak it up!

Roost.World  is a post punk and dunce music group out of Burlington, VT.

August 17th – Funk You

Enchanting audiences with an intoxicating blend of modern and vintage sounds Funk You  is a funky sonic soul band based out of Augusta, GA. This octet’s journey began in 2011 where they laid the groundwork for the growth of their grassroots fan base in the south. With this growth they have played in some of the nation’s biggest festivals including the Peach Music Festival and have provided direct support for acts like Gov’t Mule and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.

August 24th – Raisinhead

A local favorite, Rasinhead  is a jam band out of Albany, NY who has been playing together for 20 years. They bring a mixture music including The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, The Allman Brothers as well as many original tunes.

August 31st – Gentleman Brawlers

The Gentleman Brawlers are an indie dance band with Afrobeat based influences from Brooklyn, NY. They are most known for their electrifying live shows with veteran BBC journalist Tom Robinson acclaiming “a virtuoso live band, grooving together like a beautifully engineered machine”. Their crisp indie dance sound provide a sonic blend of disco-based horn lines, sticky highlife guitar and polyrhythms from West Africa, Trinidad and Brazil. They ignite a community based improvisational energy!

September 7th – Billy Wylder

Billy Wylder is an Art Rock World Psych band based out of Boston, MA. Their music weaves together American folk and rock with sensibilities from the Shara Desert exploring new musical space akin to Devendra Banhart or Beck.

September 28th – Super 400

Troy, NY’s fabled rock trio, Super 400, is known for telekinetic jams and big love. They blend a classic 60’s-70’s heavy rock vibe with contemporary melodic pop mastery to create something uniquely their own.

October 5th – All Night Boogie Band

Finish off Party On The Patio with a little bit of booging and blues! All Night Boogie Band graces the patio from Burlington, VT. This quintet performs with high energy and passion where they display hair raising vocals, searing electric guitar, hot keys, and a tight rhythm section!
