Swedish Chalet In Keene Valley

Hidden at the end of a gravel road, “The Swedish Chalet” sits on 20 acres of pine forest and mountain views. This three-level log cabin, renovated in 2022, strikes a rare balance between rustic warmth and modern refinement.

The open-concept main floor centers around a chef’s kitchen with granite counters and a hammered copper sink. Natural light streams through three walls of windows in the living room, where a glass-enclosed Hearthstone stove provides warmth on cool evenings. Each room offers its own heat and air-conditioning climate control.

The master bedroom (king)  occupies the upper level, featuring cathedral ceilings and an en-suite bath. Two additional bedrooms on the lower floor each open to private patios and have their own bathrooms with tiled showers (queen and two twins). All rooms feature individual climate control and thoughtfully sourced furnishings.

For larger gatherings, Hillside House, built in 2015, stands across a picturesque wooded lawn with four additional bedrooms – near enough for convenience, distant enough for privacy.
