From roaring rivers to babbling brooks, listening to the sound of water flowing from your Adirondack home is the perfect way to slow down and enjoy nature! The Adirondack Park has more than 1,500 miles of rivers and an additional 30,000 miles of brooks and streams, providing the perfect opportunity to find your piece of the Adirondacks. Some notable rivers in our region of the Adirondacks include the Saranac River and the Ausable River. The Saranac River is an 81 mile long river that runs from Saranac Lake to Plattsburgh and the Ausable River is a 94 mile long river that flows from the Village of Lake Placid to Lake Champlain.
